Ashdown Forest and 500 Acre Wood

Route: This area is famous for its connections with A.A. Milne and his books and we visit several idyllic locations linked to his Winnie the Pooh stories. We start in the village of Hartfield and hike through the High Weald National Landscape. We ascend through Ashdown Forest with beautiful views across the countryside, join the Wealdway through the 500 Acre Wood and then return to Hartfield.

Refreshments available at the beginning and end of the walk. Toilets available at the end of the walk.

Train Train to Tunbridge Wells station from London Charing Cross station, or to East Grinstead station from London Victoria station. Click for train info
