Group size, fitness and dogs
Our scheduled hike maximum group size is 10 customers. Private guiding, including corporate and charity events, can be of any group size. Additional qualified guides will be used if numbers require.
Individuals, couples and groups are all welcome.
The countryside of South East England has a relatively gentle landscape, although it does have plenty of hills. Most of the hikes have some steep sections, some are over long distances and all visit remote rural areas.
You need to have a reasonably good level of fitness, particularly for the strenuous hikes.
All ages are welcome, although those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Getting there
The precise meeting point will be advised when booking. Many of the hikes are accessible by train and bus. If using your own transport, there is parking available at all the hike start points. Full details are on the hike descriptions.
Risks
Our risk assessment will be made available on request. The hikes are carefully planned to ensure that risks are minimised. However, hiking, like all outdoor activity, has a danger of personal injury. Please read the description of the walk carefully. Please consider your level of personal fitness, your hiking experience, the weather conditions likely to be encountered, the length of the walks, the ascent and descent involved. You must be satisfied that you are medically and physically fit to participate, aware of and accept the risks, and are responsible for your own actions and involvement.
